Dear Parents,
We hereby inform you that the regular enrolment of children for the first class of the school year 2022/2023 will take place during the period from 1 April to 31 May 2022 and that, in cases where it is necessary, tests will also be available for pupils in June, July and August 2022.
The scheduling of tests and enrolment of children in Grade 1 will be done through the e-administration portal and the application will be available to parents by 27 May 2022. Appointments will be available through the portal and school representatives will contact parents who have previously registered verbally or in writing and suggest some of the appointments on offer to make it easier for parents to schedule and use the application. Parents who wish to do so may schedule the test themselves on one of the dates offered that suits them best.
Enrolment in the first grade of the 2022/2023 school year is compulsory for children who are at least six years and six months and no more than seven years and six months old on 1 September 2022, i.e. children born in 2015 and children born by the end of February 2016.
The educator and school psychologist will examine the maturity of the children before they start school.
The examination of children with motor and sensory disabilities will be conducted using a form of examination to which the child can respond optimally.
If it is in the best interest of the child, the educator and psychologist may postpone the child’s enrolment in school for one year, based on the opinion of the interministerial committee, which shall include evidence of the need for postponement and a proposal for additional educational, health or social support measures for the child in the period leading up to school entry.
Children who are between 6 and 6.5 years old on 1 September 2022 (children born in March, April, May, June, July and August 2016) and whose parents wish them to start school earlier can apply for a school readiness assessment. This is done by bringing only the birth certificate, which is checked by the school psychologist.
If a child older than seven years and six months is not enrolled in the first grade due to illness or other legitimate reasons, he or she may be enrolled in the first or corresponding grade based on a prior knowledge test.
Formal enrolment takes place during an interview with the educator or school psychologist.
WELCOME!
